Not all Pull Tabs are bad

Here is a web site that may be of interest. It will never make you love pull tabs but it may make some of them more tolerable. http://scottybuck.home.att.net/crg/tabgood.htm

It's funny you mention this. I found out first hand how true it was today. I had been hunting for over an hour, and all I had to show was 6 zinc cents!
Since I wasn't having much luck, I decided to try something new. I turned the gain down to 8, the disc off, and set out to dig everything for the next 15 minutes. I got an iron signal, and dug up a rusty pocketknife. "Ok," I thought, "I've never done that before."
A little later, I got a signal of 14, but it was down about 4". I dug it, and it was one of those old pulltabs. I went over the hole again, and got an 81. There was a '47 Rosey hiding underneath that tab.
I have been hunting almost 2 years, and that's the first silver coin I've got. I wouldn't have it if I had ignored that "junk" signal. I predict alot of garbage digging in my future!
Anyway, the pulltab got me thinking about how old the durn things were, and if it could be a predictor of the age of a site. I was getting set to come on here and ask around about it, but you saved me the trouble!
It's funny that two beat up clad quarters are probably worth more than this dime, but i wouldn't trade it in for a roll of shiny new ones!

Thats a good find under that kind of junk. The article seemed to be correct. It sounds like you may have already had it figured out. There is also several other good articles at that site if you go to their home page. HH AF
