was hoping for more info on the deus and the software...I read everything posted but still not sure what to expect? Oh well that is ok no biggie I just keep hunting and learning how to work in iron..

Only thing I know is it is sirpost to make the VDIs much better. That is what I am waiting on. I like the V3 but could have VDIs a little better.

I can understand your concerns but there is always a lot if work to be done before information can be released.

It's not just a case of making something and putting it on the market, registering patents and names can take a long time, then testing is another long process.

Please be assured the team at the XP factory are working hard to bring you these new products.

@xp-uk...Do you know if the Deus will come packaged with the 4.0 coil with the new features. For now, I'm delaying my Deus purchase until the new products/software/updates released.

thanks for any information or best guess you can provide.

Anxiously awaiting.

Good question.......

At this stage I don't think package options have been decided, I will try to find out.

Same here, I want to know what will be offered before I order. This will be my 3rd Deus! LOL

As far as what version will be shipped with the Deus, obviously V4.0 will be installed when V4.0 is released but existing units can simply download the software as they have with previous versions. If you are holding off buying a Deus to get the new software, I would rethink that decision. The software will be free - some of the options will only work with the new coils but other enhancements will work with existing coils.

The coils that will be offered have yet to be finalized . . . . they will be available as options for existing units but don't expect to see multiple options as a package. Demand will far exceed production initially as happened with the 11" coil and at first, you will need to buy the other coil as an accessory rather than as one of the packages much the way the 11x13 coil is sold now.

Based on the schedule looking the way it is for release of the V4.0 and options, unless you are willing to put off hunting with a Deus for some time into 2016, learn it now and reap the benefits of the new options when they are released.

Hi Andy, I have had my Deus now for a Mo. and I have had lots of detectors, but none like this one. I just fell in love with it as soon as I opened the box. I have found 5 rings and eight ear rings, lots of coins. When I come from hunting I start getting ready for my next hunt, just can't wait some times. What I wanted to ask is if you know about the VDIs that are going to be on the V4 program ? I put mine in NORM, to sty on 18KHz. Will the VDIs be the same for all frequency ? Thanks flintstone P.S. Will see you at BOOT CAMP.

The thing to remember when you use the ID NORM option is that all the VDI's are compressed to the high end of the scale regardless of the frequency you operate in. For US hunting, especially coin hunting, having a larger spread between target ID's is preferable over having the same ID regardless of the frequency selected. V4.0 will have some options there but in general, I tend to never use the ID NORM option.
