NOT A Happy Camper!

I was working around the house today...doing some gardening, cleaning out the garage, computer room, etc...getting a load of stuff ready to go to the dump...stuff like that. At some point I was bending AND lifting at the same time and there it was...right lower back injury. Nothing TOO bad, but running tonight and then going out later to detect are OUT.

I still have much to do tomoorrow and it's doubtful I will get it all done now. But if I go detecting tonight, with all the holes I will be digging and all the GOLD I will be digging, I KNOW that I will be worthless tomorrow. So much as it pains me to say it, I am going to have to pass on the low tide in the AM. I predict that whoever DOES go out will be scarfing some serious gold. The way the beach was cutting last night, I would be very surprised if it wasn't a good hunt tonight/tomorrow. Good luck to those that DO go.

back problems can be such a royal pain to deal with!

Thanks...I'll be OK. I'm just bummed that I can;t go out tonight. But I kow if I DO, I will pay dearly. And if I DON'T then I will probably feel a LOT better tomorrow.

For now, two Tylenol Extra Strength and 3 glasses of red wine have helped A LOT!

I'd probably just take a load of tylenol/advil and pay for it later :)

Mike , I hate to here that , take good care of it, not worth taking a chance of making things worse. I have lived with a bulging disc for years. Never know when it will put you to your knees, allot less strain for me to hunt in the water, doesn't seem to bother me that way. Good luck , better day tomorrow. HH

had a nice time in Yorktown, but nothing to write home about.

Hitting Huntington tomorrow and maybe the oceanfront in the week when the weekend crowds are gone!!!!!!

Sorry about your back.

I've been going to physical therapy for the last 3 weeks for neck and shoulder pain. I've decided that digging holes and swinging a machine is good therapy too :)

Just now got back from doing my six mile run...got a late start, but it's all good now. Had a nice run and the back is fully recovered. I'm ready to hit the beach again at the next opportunity! :)
