Not a good Night.....

Went back to the beach last night. 2230 for a 0100 LT. the cut from the prior night was still there, but it was collapsing. Started my run w/ the Excal. There was a definite absence of targets. The beach was clearly sanding in. Large rises of loose sand were forming as the tide receded. I went and grabbed the GQA2 for some added depth. Even w/ pulse there were few targets to be found. The PI sure was hot on hairpins at 15". Listened for those small signals and I was rewarded with more hairpins and minute scraps of wire. Scored a couple of coins and a few pieces of junk jewelry. Guess there was a chance they could have been real instead of junk.......
