Found this in my Parents yard, at about 8" deep, it is non magnetic and the back seems to be some sort of stone like slate or something and theres the number 552 just above the trunk,,but then again I haven't a clue.
...most likely from an old newspaper or magazine advertisement.
Portions of an ad such as headlines, columns of type and illustrations were produced in metal plates (zinc, lead, copper) and then nailed into place on wooden panels called the "furniture". These were then assembled together with other copy in a page layout to print the entire page.
