Haven't posted on here in quite some time, too busy working i guess. I always like seeing all the great finds though!!
Was out to a local lake detecting, when a young girl appoached me. She says mr scuba man, lol. If I was to tell you where someone lost a ring would you keep it? I said no, I would give it back, defintely. She says ok then follow me, as I am walking over towards where it was supposed to be lost, she mentions it is quite valuable. Then tells me it is "somewhere around these docks" which really means we don't have much of a clue where to look. I start detecting getting dozens of signals, listening for that all important tone. 10 min into the hunt a second smooth sounding target, sink the scoop into the bottom and come up with this one. When I saw that ring in the scoop there was never even a second thought on keeping it. I am following up in a few days with the owner. So I gave that one back, managed to find a small gold band that I was able to keep. I am sure this girl will be quite happy to get this one back!!
Good Luck ALL!!
