northeast Illinois

Hey Rodbuster, My name is Bernie I live out in Plainfield, I do not think we are close but I would still like to try to go out and hunt with you sometime. I wouldn't mind trying to find some spots to dig with ya.

It seems like we can not dig in a lot of places, would be nice to get some permissions to hunt some of these of houses, I have heard a guy out here by me does that a lot,,I am a little to shy to knock on doors, there is a cornfield by me that had a house in the middle of it for over 80 years that they tore down. been wanting to try to find the owner and ask his permission to hit that.

Hunt some old houses...

Got about 2 more months untill the ground thaws enough to start digging ..had some good finds in plainfield area. Specially when they moved the ground at electric park ..hunting old houses is a good way to find old silver, most of the time people will say yes. Just find an old house and knock on the door. Worse they can say is no ..if your that shy to knock, find an old house where someone is outside ,and walk up and ask..plainfield is one of the oldest in will county.

I will need to try harder this spring, hiluxyota are you in IL? maybe we can go on some hunts together?

I never knew about Electric parks history, Wow that is so cool, that park was there long ago. Do you know if the village of Plainfield will you us detect there?

Mite frown on it now ,since they laid down sod. I hunted the river next to the bridge. Used to be a waterslide there. Found a couple of pocket watches in the river.

Yeah that might say something, I will take a ride over there when it gets warmer and see what happens. I have been planning to hunt in the river over there by the bridges, looks like you guys beat me to it? well who knows maybe this AT Pro can still find some stuff in there you guys missed. I am part of the Will County Historical Research & Recovery Association maybe they might see that as a plus and let me dig a bit.
