North Myrtle Beach

I'll be in North Myrtle Beach next week and I have question:

Standing on the dry sand and facing the water, how far can I walk towards the ocean before interference interrupts my hunting. Semi wet sand? Wet sand?

I'm using a White's MXT

Your probably just going to have to wait until you get there and adjust your machine accordingly. I have not used the particular machine but you should be able to hunt the semi and wet sand, just adjust your sensitivity down until the machine is stable.

as you work towards the wet you'll need to make small adjustments on the sensitivity. There may be patches of black sand in some areas of wet where you may need to tweek it alittle to.I haven't hunted the north end of MB in awhile.Keep us posted on how you do..

I haven't been to Pawleys in at least 2 yrs.I usually do most of my hunting between Springmaid and Apache Pier which lately has been really sanded in..

I heard there was a good North east wind last night and again this morning.Should have pulled some of that sand out.Good Luck As luck would have it I'm in Chicago...

Just an FYI: WebCams can be a huge help. Just Google your beach to see what is available. The sites often have tide info and swell conditions/weather too. This can be very helpful and you can access it anywhere you get wifi.

Hi guys, I live in garden city and keep a constant check on the beaches. We are getting the occasional swashes, but finds have been slim. Last night high tide ran over into the streets. Garden city pier has a web cam. We are getting more tourists so things should pick up.
