#1 question.. I have a field that gave up a lot of CW/Indian War artifacts. However, most of the area, probably all of it now, may be covered with a low shrub, really tough little monkey to cut or get out.. Was a cow pasture and I would like to know what it is and how to get out..Second, does anyone have a map of the Devil's Lake rise in level..There is a spot where a worn 50 dollar slug may be lost and I am wondering if it isn't below water level.. Same with a big gold ring.. The small village in the area has been abandoned, and both sites are about the same level..This may be one for the ND treasures book, fifty years down the road Would be great excuses to wander back up that way...... Thanks for any help possible NAD

Google satellite map shows that Devil's Lake has a couple of hundred miles of shoreline to search. A guy could spend a lifetime swingin' this place. Way
Cool! I bet the Army Corp of Engineers has any map you need for this lake. Also the county soil & water conservation office should have information too. Your local Farmland or FS ag center could identify the weeds and recommend a solution, probably spray'em with RoundUp. I'd bet this area has a lot of old wagon trails and abandoned homesteads to search. Good for you and happy hunting!
