Reformated on Thur-Fri. Put in service Pack 2 which went in fine-But I guess Mr Gates does not want us to put icons on our desk tops any more as there is only the option to bookmark SO I now have to bring up a browser to get to book marks just to see one site---BUMMER----DeathWind1

When in favorites with the browser window restored down to less than full screen (middle icon top right between the minus and X) click on the desired bookmarks and drag them to the desktop.

Right click on "My Computer" then click on "Explore".
A list of your hard drive/s will come up.
Click on the "+" sign to open the drive that holds the programs your wanting the icon/s for.
Then click on the "+" sign to open the folder of the wanted program.
Scroll through those folder icons till you find the icon that you want, the one that will run the program.
Using the "right" mouse button, drag and drop the icon onto the desktop and click on "create shortcut here".
You'll need to squeeze the screen down if it isn't already so you can see part of the desktop as mentioned.
The icon will be on the desktop from that point on.
Sometimes you'll see more than one icon in the folder that looks the same.
You'll just need to pick the one that executes the program but will usually be pretty obvious which one to choose...
Once on the desktop, you can "Re-name" the icon to whatever you want to call it by right clicking on it and then "rename"...

for any program, file, Website, or Webpage. Whether using XP-SP2 or any other Windows OS. Send me an email if you'd like more info. how...
I won't go into it here but send me an email if wanted. You'll get a "request to be added" or I won't get your mail though, so check the request if you send email.
