Nokta pointer problems

Anyone had problems with their Nokta pointer? Mine just started shutting off and not turning on. (yes the battery is good). I tap it on my hand and it will turn on but will cut off if you move it. Seems like a loose connection.

If the battery is in fully charged condition, and is inserted in the proper position and the housing door is snugged up, then there might be a problem with the battery size being just a squiggle too short. I have seen the too-short 9V batteries cause this type of shortage or interruption. Make sure, too, that there is the thin rubber pad on the battery side of the control piece when you reinstall the Pinpointer as that helps provide proper battery pressure and contact for most 'average' batteries.

I trust it is that simple because I use both the Makro Pinter and Nokta Pointer and have absolutely no problems at all.

or it could be stuffed I ran my black Garrett over it had falsed one too many times

but best to try all other options 1st
