I have had a lot of detectors and I mean plenty but no Etrac or CTX.
Maybe 40 or more others. Great sport though.
Now I have the relic which I have heard and seen so much on youtube I had to get one.
I just put it together now but it is 11PM here in NY.
So tomorrow I will try it.

Best of luck with it!!! It's a great detector. A powerhouse in my experience. I have to turn down the Sens to avoid digging so deep. Be sure to post how it all goes and if you have any questions!!!

Like Stoof said, great machine. Hopefully, you have the 5" coil for it......great machine for tackling the iron infested sites etc.

If you got the standard Relic package it came with two coils, the 7 by 11 standard Double D and a small round 5 inch Double D, which should work for most any applications you have.

I keep the 7 by 11, like all standard coils of every detector I have, mounted on a spare lower ride in my accessory coil tote. That's because smaller size coils have worked best for me for decades. I keep the 5 inch Double D mounted on my Relic full-time and it, both the Relic and the coil, provides exceptional performance for me.

You may be used to using other types of detectors so be sure to be patient and put in ample time with the Relic to learn it. Once you know it well, I'm sure you'll find it is one of the best detectors you could own. I know it's one of my favorites in my personal detector team.
