Every time I bump the coils on the ground it gives a staticy noise this happens with both coils the 11 and 6inch coil this is not suppose to happen right? All the detectors I've owned if this happened something was broken. This detectors 2months old got it at Kellyco. Oh and if I squeeze the coils with my hand it does the same thing could use some help here Monte if you will be so kind. Thanks

Hello. Just wanted to let you know that this does not necessarily indicate an issue as our devices are very high gain devices and they may produce signals with bumps and/or when touched with hand.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply from both you and Monte. I didn't know this other detector I have if this was the case it would be a sign of faulty coils. That's load of my mind.

If it's been used alot in dirty areas, there is a small chance there's dirt and stuff between the coil cover and the coil. It's a good idea after using it in muddy areas and also just from time to time to take the cover off (,carefully) and clean in between.
Also triple check your connections and also that your coil cable isn't loose at the bottom of of the rod. If it's too loose and moving then your coil can read it's own cable as it moves.
But usually it's the connection or something simple.
Let us know if you figure it out :)
