Noisy Probe

When I go to Pinpoint with my probe it goes into a beeping mode about every 10 seconds and will not stop. I have to either press Pinpoint or put the probe by the connector on the shaft to get it to stop beeping. Sometimes while scanning the hole it starts beeping and I think I have found the target only to find that it has gone into its beeping mode. It is enough to drive me nuts sometimes. Has anyone discovered a way to keep this from happening?

Bud,
It sounds like you are searching in the pinpoint mode with the probe. We recommend searching for the target in disc. and then switching to pinpoint to zero in on the target's exact location. Then, push the pinpoint button back to disc before making the recovery. The reason is that the Explorer detunes in the pinpoint mode and becomes very erratic when left in that mode. Hope this helps.

Try lowering your sensativity. I have a couple of places that I hunt frequently where I have to run it down to 24 to 20 before it becomes stable.
From time to time I have had similar issues and running with a little less steam always corrects it. Noise Cancel selects a channel and that channel may not be perfect for the x1 as 1) it is shaped differently and 2) is in the soil which is a lot different than running on the grass above mineralized ground.
