Went out the other day and was having a problem while running the PI in the water had a chattering sound in the headphones was driving me crazy for hours. The machine would not pick anything just chatter moved out of the water same thing. Well after getting aggravated decided to go in. This is what happened and I just wanted to let others know in case they have a similar problem. I got back in my van and my cell rang answered it and then decided to go give it one more try well low and behold no more chatter. The problem was I forgot to leave the cell in the van the PI was getting interference from it when run wide open boy did I feel stupid and relieved at the same time PI was ok.
 
Exactly the same thing happens with my PI PRO. Worst thing is my signal is very intermittent and I think it's the phone trying to "find" the service. Leave mine in the car now, just need to find a watch to tell me what the time is now!!
 
Different experience for me...but I do fresh water. Used my Tiger Shark for about 3 hours and then went back in with the dual field. The TS chattered more than the dual field. There were some high tension power lines about a half mile away. The TS was working fine otherwise. Nedt time I may have to turn the cell off and see if that's making the TS chatter.
Found about 30 targets. Mostly clad. One small thing silver chain and a ring with a light blue stone in it. Went back over part of the same area with the dula field and found 2 pull tabs, a nickel, a quarter, and 3 dimes. Didn't hunt long with the dual field but it was a super stable threshold and it found stuff the TS had missed. Jim
