Noise cancel

I know the topic of noise cancel has been discussed quite a bit here on the forum and I hate to bring it up again, but here goes. In your opinion, is there any relationship between the noise cancel function and the reaction of the detector to ground minerialization, or is it strictly to reduce electrical or RF interference?
Thanks

Noise cancel is limited to electronic noise.
The machine auto-tracks ground balance, and, AFAIK, there is no way to lock in a particular ground balance setting.
