Noise cancel

At what position do you hold the coil to perform the noise cancel? Does it make a difference for the area your hunting?

Hold it flat on the ground and hold it EXTREMELY STILL!!! For good measure you can lay machine on the ground to do it.... any slight movement will throw off the cancelling process and may not work right. Make sure your coil isn't over any targets, also. Sometimes, if the interference is atmospheric, you can hold the coil waist high, away from you or any metal, just hold it still.
One last thing, sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries to get a quiet channel.... You can also go to the manual "Noise" setting to play with it. Keep in mind there will be times where you can't get rid of interferance... if setting to Auto Sensitivity and doing Noise Cancel doesn't work, try a different area, or try again another day. If the distracting signals fall in one particular area on the smartscreen, you can try to discriminate that out too for some help. Thanks for your question, Mike.
