no threshold with zero tone for iron

I created a program with zero tone for iron but I have a problem with it . when I pass the coil over iron I am loosing the threshold, its not happening the same to the positive targets which I have preset a high pitch tone for them, Since I made that I had a fast recovery speed from the detector for high pitched tones but when iron is next to a good target loosing the threshold causing it to be dumb and I think there is a gap in recovery here. Is it normal or should I do something else for it since I thought zero tones meant to discriminate iron out at all and that should not matter the threshold? Help appreciated.

You are not losing theshold, you set the iron tones to zero tones and that is what you are getting, ZERO TONE. When you hit a non ferrous target it is doing the same but the tone is set to an audible tone, one you can hear. You don't hear the threshold either. You hear a tone, either audible or zero in either case.

Its doing what it is supposed to do,if you want to hear a little more move the tone to 5 there will be a tick sound. Yazoo
