No tecting around here for this whole week. RAI - RAIN - RAIN, and not to warm either. Sure blows my field testing.

I hear you uncleWilly. It's been raining here for 4 days and right now we're sitting in the middle of a HUGE wind storm. 50-60 mph gusts. Afraid that my scrawny butt would blow away if I tried detecting today. If this keeps up much longer, I may not remember where the on switch is.

Yeh same here Bill...guess the nice weather is done...had a good 6 months of sun down here. Seems every 3rd week in Oct the bottom drops out. Already got 5 inches of snow on Mt Ashland.

Maybe I'll drag my RV down to San Diego or Los Angeles this Winter. Depressing weather here. Gonna talk to my girl into it soon!

Yeah we didn't have much of a summer either. With El Nino lurking off the coast I look for a really lousy winter. It's in the forties on my front porch right now. Wish I was able I'd be boogieing off to California or Arizone to mooch off the in-laws for a spell this winter like we used to. Deigo would be a nice place to hole up and hibernate for the winter. You're lucky you can hook up and blow and go when you like. I sure miss being able to.

Yeh the plan, if I go, will be to metal detect the beaches alot and hope pay for gas there and back, and hit the gold areas a bit where ole Jim Straight goes...maybe i'll look him up and drag him out there with me.

Yeah you ought to look old Jimbo up as he will be close by in Rialto. If you bump into him tell him I said HI and I owe him an email or two or perhaps a phone call. Haven't bumped heads with him in quite a spell. Hope the old nuggett popper is okay. Like me he's getting a little long in the tooth. HAA.

A lot of the summer here was HOT
which menat hard ground Now we have rain and
winds... then the S word!!! sooner o later

Well theres a few good weeks left here i hope
then on to next year!!!

Hah... hah... Uncle Willy... I'm doing grrreeatt! Still getting out to the goldfields and occasionally finding a nugget... Still going to the local parks and working old flagstone curbs with permission... Still getting in seeded/competition hunts and going the distance. Still working new construction areas, again with permission. Jim:thumbup:
