No silver today....but...

Got out Thursday and today and pulled some interesting bits and baubles.

1920 George V Large Cent and 3/4 of a 1920 One Cent. Found in two different parks within 1 mile of each other.

1932 Vancouver Dog Tag.

Also pulled 7 wheaties, 8 George VI pennies and 3 young Elizabeth pennies.

And my bauble for today....

10k Wedding Band. Rang up 12-29/12-31 in ground and 12-32 out of ground. Engraved inside with SS 98.

I'm assuming your in Canada. If so, how are you digging things out of frozen ground?

Very nice finds by the way. Thanks for sharing.

I tried to go out the other day here in central Iowa. I worked in the wooded park areas trying to avoid frozen ground. My first and last signal for the day was a zincon at 2". Well getting that out of the ground took several years of life out of my joints, WOW! Forgetabout it.

I have a few questions for Ale Gore. Anyone seen Ale latly? Anyone? Hello! Hello!, Is this thing on?:pinnochio

Very cool!

I live in the lower mainland of British Columbia, it's pretty mild here compared to the mountains and Canada to the North and East of us. It was only frozen last week when it snowed, the ground is soft again already. Alot of Canadian metal detectorists depend on us to post our finds to keep them sane in the winter months.

Gooooooooold!

Congrats on the GREAT finds ! :beers:

Don't know why ... but I really like the old Dog Tags - oldest I've found is 1936, but another forum member posted one a few months back that was dated 1916 - 1918.
I never knew that dog tags were required that long ago !

WTG GC :clapping: You always keep the goodies for last. For those that like dog tags this is one I found earlier this year.[attachment 280720 php7ZOy8wPM.jpg]
