No silver today but.......

I returned to the old town and got permission from this young
fellow to let me MD his yard. Its right next to an Old Hotel.
I has asked for permission to MD that but was turned down.
Turns out this young fellow owns the small strip of property that
butts up against the south wall.

He came out and watched for a while. I asked if he wanted to MD.
Said he had never done it before. I gave him the Ace to use and soon
he was happy tooling around the yard digging up pull tabs. I think
I may have made a convert.

In the mean time I used the MXT to find my first Buffalo Nickel. Its
really worn. Its a 1916. Also a penny wheat cent thats 1916. The rest
was just junk. I suspect that deeper down there probably are some
good coinage to be found.

Very nice finds Katz and what a way to make a new friend. Possibly a hunting buddy too. Is the large round object some sort of token? Congrats on your first Buffalo nickel. Thanks for the pictures. The old motel looks interesting. HH, Nancy

The large round object appears to be one of those electrical plugs you see at construction sites, although this one is big.
