Had a good time at our club hunt yesterday at the lake. The weather was beautiful and in the low 80's, but there was lots of shade around the lake and a nice cool breeze coming off the water. We didn't get completely skunked and the four of us in our club all found silver. I don't have the exact count, but I believe there were three or four mercs found and quite a few wheaties. My take was five wheat's the oldest being a 1918 and a worn 1906 barber dime. I also found my first silver coin ring which I thought was pretty cool. It's a 1918 silver half crown and the owner also had the year 1918 engraved on the outside. The 1918 year is on the inside, but I couldn't get a close enough picture and get it to come out clear. JB had a friend who did some water hunting and he did real well. He got several rings gold and silver and a couple of gold bracelets one which was quite heavy and 18kt. JB might have a better count on what else was found. I think my next investment is going to be a water machine........ There is still lots to be found at those swimming areas and surprisingly there are not that many guys who water detect. That seated is still out there waiting for me........ I wish I had more to show you, but it's better than nothing........ Can't wait to see what James in ND is going to post from his hunt. HH.
