How to tell the age of a excal? or where the serial number is??

Grumpy, You can also check the top of the CONTROL POD, after you take it off the shaft. it should be in between the (2) plastic Ear Brackets of the Control Pod.
Like Max stated, you then have to contact MINELAB USA with that info for follow-up info!! Hope this helps, hh, Les Robinson
