No more snow leads to dime trifecta (slam??)

Although the miserable cold weather continues, the nearly 2-feet of snow has disappeared. I decided to pounce on the first rare warm day and hit two sites on my wish list. They did not disappoint.

Both sites are older, dating back to the mid-1800's, and were used through modern times. The first site has less modern trash. Both sites have abundant iron garbage and EMI issues. The CTX simply scoffs at this. I pulled 4 silvers at Site 1, including a war nickle and a dime trifecta (Roosevelt, Merc, Barber). Site 2 yielded another Merc and an 1876-S seated dime to complete the almost grand slam. We must endure another week of yuck weather here in Mid-Mo, then full-scale detecting season should begin.

You know, the one feature I absolutely HATE about the CTX is the clock. With the E-Trac, I could be gone all day and could use the "lost track of time" excuse with the wife. Now, she knows the CTX has a built-in clock. Great job, Minelab. Why don't you just include a remote tracking device so the wife can come right out to my honey-hole sites and chew me out in front of my friends.

Nice goodies Bryan the winter weather just hangs in there. 14 degrees on the first day of spring wt* hunting any way My advice on the clock is put a piece of tape over it lol Most of the snow is gone here in north Mo. at least for today:detecting:

I like the seated and the barber. Nice job. How deep are your older coins?

You may have to change your handle to Silverman if you keep this up :)

Thanks! The coins at the first site were about 3 to 4 inches deep. The seated was only 3 inches, and right next to a nail. EMI was bad in that spot, I was getting 17 sensitivity in auto + 3. The wheats were also shallow in that spot. The Merc I found at the second spot was about 7 inches down.
