No luck with detector so took my camera to the beach

Interesting images. Couple of comments.

Beach shot -- remember the rule of thirds. You need more sky or more beach (so the horizon is in the top or bottom 1/3rd of the frame)

Pillar shot -- leading lines. Technically good shot, but you could use leading lines to make the picture more interesting -- for instance, being on one side of the pier or the other and having the shot (still under the pier) but leading to the end of the pier.

Other than that good shots --- and hey, my opinion is just like yours. Good for what is good and not for what isn't.

Thanks for the comments..I do like for people to give their opinion because it makes be better...next time I'm at the beach I will retake the same photos with your suggestions.
