No it's not great, but it is what I found today. At least I can sill MD!

It was 45 deg. F and sunny! Sweatshirt weather. I MD'ed these two houses and I thought I was at a park. Pull tabs, clad and can slaw everywhere. No fun for me. The last half hour I went to the place across the street that I hit last week. I had to find something besides trash. I jump into the middle of some bushes. I was desperate. At last. A 1945-p war nickel. Now I can go home. These houses only had a 3 ft. front yard.

Was silver plated. All junk.

Coaster token from a park in Pittsburgh.

That is all I needed was another iron ring, another harmonica reed, astrology sex token(like the one I found last week), 25 cal. live shell, 17mm shell, hot wheel and match box cars. Plus a whole lot of trash.

Your not the only one that came up short today, but as some just told me " any day detecting is a good day" . I brought home a little experience and realized" if it is easy anyone could do it".

How much sex are these tokens worth? Wish I could find some.

Sorry, I couldn't stop myself.

Hey at least you got your body out. I've been locked up for days watching the miserable rain and dark gloomy days. I've got a new coil I can't even play with. Nice pile of goodies.

Bill

Nice finds as usual. I like the places you detect. There is always a good variety of stuff. Take advantage of those kinds of places. The parks and schools will always be there.

It looks like you are living in a ghost town John, with the amount of abandoned homes you come accross.

Hey John I really like the face thingy! That is a cool find to me. Good job on the war nickle also, Beale.
hey john, you check under the clothesline? probable the first place u looked huh. that some cool stuff
Yep, it the first place I go to. Also look for cache there. I do find empty jars under the clotheslines and most of my better finds.

There is a eerie feeling about MD'ing there. Some people watch me knowing that someday I will be digging up their lawns and scavengers will run through their homes. When I can I try to talk to people and be friendly. I feel sorry for them. One old place my grandfather lived in has been torn down. A cousin three houses away from where I am MD'ing now will be moving soon. His place was very nice and well kept up. The houses beside my father's house is going to be torn down soon. We are hoping they don't change their minds and take his home too. All for progress. A big new hi-way that is suppose to revitalizes the area.

A war nickel is a nice find! I found one once when I was about 13 without a metal detector, but I still have not found one with a metal detector! WTG!

Aren't things like that funny. You find a lot of cool and old stuff that I wish that I could find. I found a war nickel last week and this week. I have six total. It is what is under the coil. I don't see me finding the old coppers you have found. My area isn't as old as yours. I can see you finding plenty of war nickels someday. If one get under your coil, I know you'll get it. I would like to hunt the east coast cities someday. Demo-ed houses or pavement that got torn up.

Thanks.
I was wondering what was going on. I tried to detect an old Cob and Co stage coach stop last year with a club member. He found the well (which had convict markings on it, very old) but after searching the physical area, we came to the conclusion that when the highway was widened, it went right over where the old building once stood. We had hoped that it hadn't covered it all.
