Hello Everyone,
I got my Beach hunter 300 about 3 weeks ago. I have been working an old beach site that is not used anymore because the water is so dirty. So anything you might find would be at lease 10 years lost. I have only been out 3 times so far . with about 8 hours of hunting time. my first day I only found junk no coins at all. lots of bottle caps all black like they had been there a while . my pinpoint was way off as I had to dig at lease 5 scoops per find sometimes around 8 or 9 scoops per find .this was an old home made scoop that I used back in thru 90' s 92 or 93. it was good then but only had to dig around 6 inch max back then. So I order a new scoop and this really helped . I am just starting to learn this machine. but I have to tell you my last time out I was finding quarters at 12 inches. At first I thought maybe it fell back in the hole but after finding 4 more at around 10 to 12 inches I was a believer. I found 23 coins that day and one silver heart it was about 7 inches the size a little bit bigger then a nickel. the green light for coins was right every time. I am very happy with this machine and want to thank all who helped me pick the bh 300. hope to be able to show some gold real soon........Jerry
