No gold today, but.....

had a good time out and got to see and old friend again!! He may be a heathen and a general miscreant, but I ain't no saint either!!! Skillet and I used to hunt a good deal together but the past year or so, he's had a lot going on that didn't give him much free time to hunt. So, it was a good day, diggin' in the dirt and at each other. We met up early out at The Gulch and began scurrying over the rocks, intent on freeing some of the treasures that surely must still be there. Had a good 4 hr. hunt with a few coins and and a nice little 925 ring in my pouch at the end. Here's my take for the day!!

Had to dig a lot of this with the AT Pro, alas no gold came to the light of day!!

And here's the little cross ring after a little clean up, still need to put the Dremel Magic to it!!

And here's Ol' Skillet, trying to see what he can boost out of my treasure pile!!

We ended the day with some good ol' Texas BBQ and some good natured banter.

:detecting: with friends and finding some treasure that makes for a good day

It is always a better hunt when you have a good hunting partner. It is just that much more fun. HH ......Z
