No Gold, but beautiful weather today!!

Went for a short spin today, but it turned into a long spin. I hit the river around 10:30am till 1:00 pm, the weather was around 70 going in and made it up to 80 or so. The water is 72 degree year round in the river , I hunt next to the spring. Got some clad and found a piece of a broken cross, then managed to find all 3 pieces to complete it, they were in 3 to 4 feet of where I found the first piece. Went to eat around 1:30 then went to the Gulf Beach about 15 miles away from the river. Hit the water around 2:30 at mid tide and stayed till sunset and low tide (5:30 sunset). Found very little the Beach had been raked and the water had been hit hard by other MDers. I did clean the beach as I went bottle caps and all. Had a beautiful sunset to finish out the day.

Hey joe, " Happys Holidays to you and The Family".

Nice to hear your still getting out detecting. We've only been out a couple of times in the past months. Theres too much cutting into free time and the amount of tourist at the beach is meager at best.
Have a week off at the end of the month, gonna try to hit some of the southern beaches where the waters a bit warmer.
