From the land of the Bluenose.....after completing my domestics which included making the bed, washing the dishes, vacuuming and watering the plants it was off to the local golf course which is now closed to make way for a housing project. Expectations were high as was the grass on the fairways which would make swinging a golf club or a detector impossible. Of course what really threw me off was the newly posted "No trespassing " sign. So much for that idea!
Undaunted and with Goquichski sucking fumes my options for a dig were limited. Being the day before payday no funds were available for a jaunt of any consequence. In hind sight emptying the laundry money for gas on the previous day was a good ploy as I got out of doing the wash and Marie didn't have to face pink clothing. So it was off to the local ballfield and yet another attempt at finding the elusive diamond ring. City Field was on the scene giving the field a complete make over as I'm sure they got a bug in their ear that the SPN (Slow Pitch Nationals) are being held this coming weekend. Only hope I get assigned the men's "D" qualifiers and not the ladies!
Anyway 45 bottle caps and pull tabs later still no diamond ring. That makes it five and a half hours scouring the field to no avail. End result for the day was one musket ball, fun zone token, a pin of some sort and 28 coins @ $1.54. Not giving up yet.
