No Date Standing Liberty, I'll take it....

This quarter is so worn that this is seriously the best picture I could take! I'm happy though, it is my first one! It came from one of the same lots I posted about last week. I used the 6" 18.75 coil and SLOWLY re-worked the area where I had found a token. I could have sworn I had crossed this same spot several times before but, this time I got a solid lock of 44 and sweet tone between two trashy signals which netted this quarter.

The X70 just keeps surprising me, what a great detector!

No date or not, still a nice find.

Awesome Find !! Something to be proud of !!! I have yet to uncover one of those ladies, but I'm still searching. Uncovered a few mercury dimes and a large cent. I really want to find a Buffalo Nickel but I probably have to start digging up the pull tabs to find the old nickels....lol Maybe I should start a collection of pull tabs....haha These old pull tabs are aluminum right ??? Anyways, thats a great find. Hope you find more !!

It really is a great thing to have this forum and the wealth of everyone's experience and helpful hints. In the short while my wife and I have been into detecting, we have made so many wonderful friends and had many opportunities to be invited on some hunts and make some finds we could have only dreamed of when we started.

This really is more than a hobby. We are travelling more, getting some much needed time together, learning the history of our state in a way you can't learn elsewhere, and just plain having fun!

THANKS! and GOOD HUNTING!

Mike
