Picked up a the RC40 large coil for my Racer and did a little detecting with my friend yesterday to test it out.

Here's finds from his site, sans about a 12 pack of canslaw

It was fun to test out my new 15.5" x 13" coil, but I don't know if I could hunt with it for more then a few hours. It wasn't overly heavy, but yeah it weared on you after a few hours, but that's what GIANT sized coils do.

Curious, I see you posting regularly it seems with Racer finds. How many hours you estimate you have on your stock Racer coil while actually hunting???

Probably have about 50 hours on the stock coil, 15 hours on the 5" coil, and about 4 hours on the BIG RC40 coil. So far (knock on wood) no broken ear issues, and the Racers been doing a great job finding stuff. As soon as Richard @ Backwoods gets in the 5x10" coil, I'll add that one to the arsenal as well.
