NJ beach results yesterday

therover

Well-known member
Me and my hunting buddy have been hitting the NJ beaches every Sunday for the last 2-3 months. Yesterday I saw my buddy hit a hot spot...he was digging targets for 1/2 hour constantly.

When I went over to ask him how he made out he informed me he hit a spot where there were lots of sinkers. When he got home his tally was...

2 junk rings
46 coins
43 sinkers !!! WOW....his bag was so heavy his back is shot today !

I did not dig a single sinker until I went over the spot he was at...and dug 5. He told me he stopped digging them because there were so many. So...how many rings are in with those sinkers ?

Since this was our last spot of the day and it was at the end of the day, we were too damn tired to try and find out.

But...we may have to play hookie and hit that spot tomorrow ! It's possible that spot will still be there since it was higher up in the wet sand.

There are some places where there is a concentration of sinkers.....most were brought in with the beach replenishment....hh....Brian

Brian...it wasn't AC...it was more north. It's a place where there are lots of surf fishermen during the course of the year. I think the way the currents were flowing, it just dumped a bunch there. There were all kinds, plus lots of fishing rigs too ( with the leaders and rusted hooks still on them).
