NJ Beach gold and silver

Charles (Upstate NY)

I recently went down to the Atlantic City beaches to test my new 11x14 inch beach coil for my Explorer. Beachcomber says the hunting was not very good finds wise, too early in the season but I managed a few. The coil worked great and had good sensitivity to small targets. Note the sub-dime sized objects. It sure covered a lot more ground than the stock coil and I didn't have to worry about getting it wet.

Not pictured is the 2 foot deep pair of sunglasses I dug that sounded like a nice gold ring grrrr. Good thing I had the Babbs backhoe scoop. Plus a bunch of junk metal from the Atlantic City beach, that beach is a trash can but I always find a little gold there, I found the bracelet there.

That black blob just above the bracelet is a silver dime if you can believe that. Its stuck in there solid and seems to be partially digested. Also note the giant metal fortune cookie, kind of neat. Says Harrahs.
