Nitro Pendant:ranting:

I had a nitro moment when this pendant came out of the ground. Once I got the dirt and roots off of it I realized it was junk.:veryangry: I did find the last 2007 state quarter for my book (Utah). I have all the state quarters in a book now, all from MDing. I just need the 5 from 2008 to complete it. I found 10 coins for $1.42. It was a short hunt.

I'm doing that state quarter project but I'm not going to start until next year when the program is done. Gonna see how long it takes to get one of each. Great minds.

The pendant is still real purty except for the missing stones. Nitro is still a good MD memory. Usually it is.

Chris
By the time the series is done most will be in the ground and look all black. Why not start now. I was at a yard sale and found the display book. It has taken a while to get all good ones. Here is a pic of them.

Chris
I started in May of 2006. I just finished 2007. Maybe by the end of next year I will have found the 5- 2008 I need:rofl:

Great book. I have a few sets I'm doing of UNCs from the bank. I may be a freak but I love the way coins look directly from the ground. The dirtier the better and I don't clean coins before they go into my book except for a quick rinse. I still tumble clad before I turn it into the bank out of respect for the business who ultimatly ends up with them. Funny that you and I give exact opposite treatment to our finds.

Chris

PS The last 3 silver coins I dug were heavily tarnished. Pleasant looking but dark. Do you ever clean silver coins. Common dates. Didn't you find a really dark Barber dime recently?

Nothing would touch it. So I finally use electrolysis. Worked like a charm. They are nice and shiny. Here is a link to the post with a link to the coin cleaning site.
