I have a friend about to give me a too good to pass price on the Sigma 70-200mm but if that falls through I'll just buy the non IS version of the Canon since I really hate buying things twice. I may have to figure out a way to make it pay for itself but I've done that my whole life. (Look at my metal detector hobby..) <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
I've been scared off the Sigma just a bit by the stories of the AF being a little slower than the Canon L lens AF and the unlimited hunting at some times reported by some who said it needed some focusing limits on it. The Canon has them but from what I'm reading, doesn't need it.
Any takes since you are using the Sigma on the hunting thing I'm reading about. Is that BS by some Canon fan?
Thanks... Guvner..

But I am going to replace it with a Canon though. The Sigma takes very good quality pictures but approximately 1/3 are unsellable due to focus issues. If I was just using it to take photos of my kid I'd probably keep it. But when I am shooting 1,000+ photos a day then having to delete over 300 of them is just unacceptable. The Canon is a bit sharper and has a bit more reliable focus.
