Some folks refer to this camera as entry level, but I really don't like that term. To me it is a camera with less bells and whistles and will serve someone very well for a long time if they take care of it. You can do most anything within reason with this camera. If I did not have my Minolta lenses, I would be tempted. Thanks for doing the research on this camera, it is indeed a good bargain. Kelley (Texas)

The term "entry level" is an awful term...some take it as a put down of the camera (i think i would take it that way)....i got this from a site i frequent and trust me when i say that these people dissect the specs.. One of the posters said he uses THIS camera as a back up to his Nikon D200 (very pricey) and he claims this camera will pretty much do it all and it is SMALLER and LIGHTER

In my opinion 99% of people will love this camera and not that it matters (Yea right !!! ) the price is right!!!!!

this same camera in "used" condition for a $100 more than this special sales price. It is indeed important to research prices before you purchase a camera on Craig's List.

Also, something to think about...when you see a camera advertised without the charger, could it be a stolen camera? Be careful. Kelley (Texas)

a lot of great deals can be had from Craigslist....but there is NO warranty, yes it could be a stolen item unless the seller can produce a receipt of his purchase....i dont post anything from craigslist because i dont know where everyone lives...one would need to live in the same city as the seller to check out the item.. and yes it is a roll of the dice.
Assuming everything "checks out" shipping would not be free..nowadays if items are purchased from internet shops anything this expensive includes free shipping with a warranty
