I believe for the state of Kansas it is happening now. There are major thunderheads moving up through Kansas right now. The storms are stretching from the OK border south of Dodge City all the way up to almost the NE border north of Russell.
Greensburg Kansas is basically no longer in existance - a devestating site. Where once blocks of houses used to stand there is nothing. Old trees that stood are now just stumps.
Another batch of storms are now starting to build up and will be rolling into the state in short order.
