New to the board here. I have read a few threads on night hunting and thought I would post my setup. I know pretty much what my ace 250 is telling me by the different beeps. I know most veterans don't need to watch the screen. But I still like to watch what its telling me, so I came up this this. Its a clip on adjustible pinlight type light. Works great for me, anyone ever try it?

Looks great..you could also twist the stem of the toch to shine of the location of the target while you extract it. Great thinking...great innovation. Sapper

inventive.

Have you ever thought about wearing some kind of arm/wrist band/glove that had a small led flashlight attatched in the are between the wrist & the web area between the thumb & pointing finger? That way the light is pointed at the display AND when you go to recover a target... it can be aimed at the hole as well.

A good addition to that is one of the clip on LED lights for a baseball hat. http://www.mastervisionlight.com/

I run with one of these and retrieval times are close to a day hunt. Once I get a DX 1 I bet it will be the same.

The night "lightning bugs" and Rattlesnakes cross breed and have baby phosphoresent rattlers, I'll go night detecting. 'til then, it's O'rilly on T.V.

I just use an LED headlamp. I keep it on a low setting and don't turn it off. You're gonna need a light anyway when you dig up your treasure, and a headlamp cuts down on all the junk you have to manage!

Was at a neighbors fire pit last night and pulled out my clip on L.E.D. Another neighbors eyes lit up and he said...""YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!". He came back with a hat that actually had the L.E.D. Built in to the bill of the cap. The thickness of the bill was only slightly thicker and looked like a normal hat! (Only has two lights, so it isn't as bright, but nice!) I'm going to look around and see what all is out there.

I would be interested in that as well. If you have any information on the cap please let us know. thanks...Darrell

This is the one that does have 5 L.E.D.'s and is the spendiest. http://www.panthervision.com/4-led-cap-light-4%20white-in-various-colors-and-styles-item.html

Here's the 2 light variety (This is the one my neighbor had). http://www.panthervision.com/2-led-cap-light-in-various-colors-and-styles-item.html

Value wise, the clip on is best but not as sleek, plus more...http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=led+cap&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=3502934325&ref=pd_sl_22374xs6v_b

All kinds of this stuff out there (once you start looking around)!
