Does this machine like them ? Got one coming, wonder how it stacks up against my fisher CZ 3 d.

robo,

...The 6000 Pro XL likes the whole conductivity spectrum, it has a discriminate circuit that is fully adjustable to pick up all the iron you could want......Or to just disc. it out, once iron is disc'ed out, no worries mate. It is really hot on nickels and gold rings & silver. The best accessory coil for it is the 6

Robo,

I've used my XL Pro for alot of years and felt comfortable in what it was saying to me especially nickels. When you swing the detector over a nickel, the needle locks on the letter "N" of the word nickel and doesn't budge. Now if the needle locks on any other part of the word nickel, such as "E or "L", most likely a pull tab. Watch for if the needle ever so slightly twitches to the left. Most likely a pull tab. I would dig it up to just verify. For me, 10 times out of 10 if the needle twitches, most likely trash.

Sorry, don't know anything about the Fisher CZ-3D to compare to the XL Pro.

Good Luck,

TC-NM

Robo,

Almost forgot that I set my disc. just right of pre-set so I still get nickels, rings and even pull-tabs.

Hope this helps,

TC-NM
