Nickels Nickels Nickels But No Gold For Me Today

I found 7 nickels at a local school during a short morning hunt. I also dug 67 pieces of trash in my quest for gold. No gold, but I did find a handful of clad and a Canadian $2 coin. I was running the Tesoro Eldorado at the preset mark and digging all good repeatable beeps. The preset mark is just a little below where sports drink foil caps discriminate out. This is the same school where I found a silver dollar and a '64 Kennedy half dollar. So, if I hear something that sounds like a hubcap, I'm digging, because the kids at this school lose lots of good stuff.

I'm really liking the Eldorado a lot. Its audio tone is music to my ears, because its not too high or too low. It's perfect for my ears!:)

Congrats on finding the 64 half dollar and dollar coin in the past. Those are still 2 of the coins I need to find on my list. I have noticed the Tesoros hit hard on nickels. They are one of my favorite things to dig, because it means I am in an area that has not been hunted at all or has been hunted on full disc, plus they are just fun to find. Was the dollar coin in the past a silver dollar? HH

Nice going!

Yep, it was a silver dollar. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?17,1699157

You're right about Tesoros hitting hard on nickels. If I'm finding lots of nickels and pull tabs and no clad coins, I know the location has been hunted, but not for gold jewelry.
