After work hit two older homes. First one was maybe a 1950 home, got a wheat, the rosie and the 1904 barber dime. Second home was 1930s area and I dug some more wheats and the best SLQ I have ever dug since I started detecting over 7 yrs ago! 1917-S

that is a beauty ... too bad it wasn't a type 1

ok. just figured their would be, never really checked it ... Again Congrats

Very nice Terry! I never really noticed the "frills" on the inner part of the rim before on a SLQ. Thanks for the awesome pictures and congratulations on a beaut.

Yowsa!! Standing liberties are rare but in that condition a find of a lifetime. For sure that one didn't spend much time in someones pocket or in circulation.

Congratulations -That baby is a beauty!

Nice coin. One thing that caught my attention was the dates of the homes. I have exhausted so many older homes in my immediate area all that's left are homes from the fifties and new homes. As a rule I usually look for 30's and older. Figures though the one house I did that was built in 57 found two franklins and a 1916 merc and pile of wheats hardly any clad but house across street was 1890's home zincs galore go figure. This was two years ago. I guess silver is where you find it. Do you find yourself regularly hunting houses in say the 50's range. If so are there characteristics that stand out to you in those houses that make you want to hunt them more then the next 50's match box house? Thanks for any response.

I will hunt any house in the 50s, at my grandpa's house built in 1950 I got a 1889 seated dime and a 1873 indians, nothing special I look for just anything and anywhere that I can get permission

That's one of the nicest dug SQL's that I have saw. I have a dug a few sharp ones over the years but none of them were as fine as that one.
Good Job!

Congrats, Nice!

Very nice. I found one about 20 years ago in similar shape (same year as well), but I put a large scratch halfway across the obverse retrieving it. No pinpointer back then haha
