Rings and great things don't come easy. You got to dig those iffy signals. Headed out of town to an old beach with my buddy Scott. Lots of signals. My oldest coin was a 1951 penny. Scott got a penny signal on his detector, scooped it and out came the penny with a beautiful gold chain in the scoop. A lucky guy he was.:)

Here is my bling. I did manage another ring today. Below is an old fishing spinner I dug up along with a bottle cap of an old Coca-Cola bottle. The bottle liner had GONDOLA stamped on it. Not sure if was a winner or not?

Congratulations John! You rock!! That is a lot of booty for a modestly priced metal detector!
I bet you dont have to be an electrical engineer to use the Garrett, either.
Happy hunting Kev

Well......I did specialize in electronics way back in the 70's in high school. Transistors were just being utilized in new designed circuitry. Most of the electronic stuff was still using tubes. But, that was just coincidence. Anyone who learns their even 200 dollar machine well enough will walk circles around someone with a more expensive machine who just dabbles with the hobby.
