Nice to get out-- amazing jasper arrowhead from bone hill

[size=x-large]got out to the park and had some good conversations whith three people 1st was a lady who told me her dad just got a metaldetector and found a silver 50 cent piece and a ring the second was a long time resedent who told me of diong sewer work in a very old line and found some silver coins in the sewr but they where worn really thin and he told me of an sliding hill of years gone by the therd was a hippy guy and i helped him find his hare band i only found 17 cents and a nice copper wire most was junk the jasper point was found on owr farm on bone hill it is made from iron jasper kinda like flint but has lots of iron in it really it is a nice find i have found the same rocks in the river on the property well eat your oat meal and smile Gunnar MN [/size]

Nice find - I used to find arrowheads in an area where we had a cabin. Must have been young & dumb as I didn't keep what I was finding back then. Today I would considered a find like that in a much different way.
I see you too use a Wilcox digger. I keep a line of them in the garage (2 of each) - those longer handle ones provide some leverage when needed and hold up tough as nails. Although I also use a Lesche mainly, the Wilcox picks up for a little deeper digging, then the shovels come in after the Wilcox, starting with the Sampson - then it goes up from there. That's all of course in grounds where a bigger digger is acceptable.
 
Ya the wilcox digger is great it gives extra leverage and works great for the bigger items that need to be pryed out
