Nice silver filled weekend

Saturday I hunted all day with Starky (Erich) we hit several ballfields, not even a wheat, then we started door knocking it was an all wheat and clad day, till the last 5 minutes of the hunt and I got a sweet 07-47 signal screaming at me from the etrac....out popped the 1943 walker to save the day!!!

Sunday I went door knocking again with my buddy Hollis and we hit a couple different yards, was able to get my first barber quarter of the year, it is worn and a lil beat up, but I am thrilled! Was starting to think I was not gonna get one this year! Also got 4 wheats, a war nickel, a merc and the token. Good weekend!

You sure must have a gift of gab to get on private property. Saturday I went to a lousy club hunt in an old campground that is truly beat out and everyone was complaining that here in Illinois, permission to hunt private property is non-existant. Thanks to our litigious society metal detecting is going to die out. Congrats on the goodies though.

I say the same simple line everytime I knock, it works 80-90% of the time and I travel to different towns, states etc.....I have a getting permission FAQ on my personal website
