Found this girls class of 1977 Georgia military class ring here in southern California today, in the wet sand a foot deep. She's gonna be hard to find I assume. Don't know if she lives in California or was just visiting. At least her initials R.D.H. are inside. Anyone wanna give it a shot go ahead, if you find her, PM me and we can get her ring back to her. Gene, I'm trying to learn more about beach hunting so can I ask a couple questions? Did you find this on a beach facing the open ocean or in a "sheltered" beach? Was it at low tide? The limited experience I've had at the beach has been after or during a storm but it's been pretty mild in southern California this past week and I would think that the beaches would be filled in with soft sand. Just trying to get this beach thing figured out. I've always been more of a freshwater guy. Thanks, George.

Sorry about that Gene. I'm still trying to figure out how to set up this account. George.

GENE,

Super your trying to return it , I applaud you. I just sent out the military ring I found today and it was quite an emotional send off. The person was a pilot and graduated from pilots school in 1947. Unfortunately he died in 2002. His son with the SAME name was also a pilot in the USAF and is recieving the ring before Chritmas as a present. I spent almost 2 years researching this ring.

The pilot was a B-25 bomber pilot .

The family has NO idea how it ended up in a lake in Michigan since he was from North Carolina. The lake is a popular one with the Universary of Michigan students but they don't recall him ever being there. Anyway its going home as I type this, I hope you succeed in your quest.

Robert, that is so nice you making the effort to search the owner. You can bet that ring has significance to the son him being a USAF pilot as well.
Well done:clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping:
