Nice Merc & a Large Cent

Hi All,

Found these two on Monday. After the first light cleaning, I thought the large cent was a Liberty Cap type, as I could swear I saw the triangular shaped bonnet at the back of her head. Unfortunately, when I got the dirt off, that bonnet was not there at all, revealing a worn, corroded, no date Draped Bust type large cent. Oh well, it's still a large cent- my 20th, so I'm happy with that.

The Merc is a 1924 and my pic doesn't come close to doing it justice. It's a razor sharp AU and it's frosty white.

HH All.

Nice merc Jeff and the large cent is very nice also. I got to get out there on the east coast one of thes days after I retire and get me one of those large cents before you guys find them all.... :) You don't find those out here on the west coast. HH.

Where did the display hit at in digital or smart screen for the large cent? High or low tone? Thanks for the info in advance.

Stoop,

I use an XS, SmartScreen. The crosshairs pegged almost flush with the upper right corner, bit down about a 16th of an inch. The sound was solid, like that of an Indian penny, but not the high pitch of silver. It also pinpointed at 6 inches, but was at least 8 to 9 inches down, as usually happens with big targets.
