Hunting started off slow at a big old farm that was recently spread with manure!
So we turned to the yard which only gave up clad coins and a few buttons one older one.
The we hit another mid 1800’s property I’ve hit before and I had two 1926 mercs in a spill one in the plug the other still in the hole
And one foot away a 1928S then near that a great nickel tone on the Deus a older 18?? V nickel
All with in 4ft ot each other in a small strip of the yard.
It only took the last property to give up a few good coins but well worth it.
Not sure if that’s a token on the bottom or coin? Or button?

Yes going to go back later in spring it’s in Columbia ct big farm but the other stop on way home saved my day!

Nice hunt........... seeing that silver sure does inspire me to get out detecting ..Thank you.

Nice finds,,mercs look great... i agree the bottom item is one those flat buttons, should say "extra fine" or something like that on it..congrats. .

So...the hunt "started off slow" and stinky?lol! There's nothing like that fresh farm smell! Nice silver's there and who knows what that field will yield when you go back to it?

Yeah no fun had my bean boots on in that “crappy field”! Buddy got a 1901 Barbara there last time just too much crap stunk his truck up lol

Nice hunt there, Mkus! Two attributes that a succsessful detectorist must have: patience and persistance. You demonstrated both! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
