Nice Gold Specimen Found with White's TDI

Hi,

The first nugget I found at my mine at Moore Creek weighed 1.93 ounces. I was pretty tickled by that, figuring I'd have bragging rights for awhile.

Well, I'd better give credit where due. Some friend of mine visited the mine in the fall. Bernie and Chris P from Soldotna, Alaska are both avid detectorists, having racked up many pounds of gold at Ganes Creek, Alaska over the years with the White's MXT.

But they were ready for something different. Chris in particular wanted to find some nice specimen gold. She can outhunt most guys but this was her first time using a PI detector. They hunted Ganes a week, and then came over to Moore Creek.

They both did well, but Chris outdid Bernie with this really nice 2.07 oz. gold/quartz specimen. And managed to beat my 1.93 oz. chunk in the process.

Hi Gerry,

How you doing? Good to hear from you.

We have a few spots left at Moore Creek if you know anyone put off by the increase in price at Ganes Creek. We are just the opposite - we are offering a $505 discount this year due to the poor economy. So only $1995 per week until we are sold out. Only 6 slots open as of today as four more people just booked.

My detecting suffered last summer sdince I got the John Deere 450 to the mine. I was having so much fun bulldozing it really cut into my detecting time. Did good in the time I hunted, I just did not hunt very much.

Steve, Don't tempt me to much, I just might try to swing it. Your price is very tempting.
Actually I am building up my England Detecting Adventures and so taking groups each Spring and Fall, plus all my Field Training Trips has me busy as heck.

I am hoping to get out this April and spend a little time with the TDI. I know it is not a GPX-4000, but it does not cost $4000 either. I am wanting to work the TDI on some Deep Coins/Artifacts. I here you have some experience doing that?

I'll try to toss a photo on here once in a while and make sure you do the same.

Keep in touch.

Hi Steve

Per our phone call, I'm looking forward to possibly getting up there this summer to try out a new 4500 that someone is selling me.
