Nice gold ring from the water in an iron infested spot with my CTX!

I pulled a nice gold ring yesterday out of a spot in the lake totally infested with iron nails. None of my other detectors work in this area because there is way too much iron, this is the reason I bought my CTX. I was using a combined program, and my 6" coil.

Beachdude - what kind of Fe-Co values did you get when it was in the ground?

In the lakebed! 12-23 Lots of iron nails in the area and 3 nails in the scoop with the ring.

Very nice and a hearty congratulations on a great find! All of my 12/23's have been pull tabs or nickels, so far. One of these days I'll hit the gold!! (I hope)
